HQ Sixteen/Longarm Training Seminar

In addition to good basic knowledge of quilting you will be certified to rent the Handi-Quilter for $10/hour.
This seminar will cover how to load the quilt, threading, tension settings, needles, battings and threads.
You will also learn about the five basic shapes for free motion quilting, how to use the laser light with pantograms and how to stitch in the ditch. Tips about starting a business and how to take in quilts will also be covered if interest warrants.
Bring a sketch pad, a pencil and be ready to have some serious quilting fun!

Heavy duty, portable frame constructed out of metal designed specifically for the HQ Sixteen Quilting Machine. Sold as a package with the HQ Sixteen Quilting Machine.

The HQ Portable Professional, along with the HQ Sixteen Quilting Machine gives quilters every advantage of a long arm quilting system. The HQ Portable Professional frame offers state-of-the-art engineering, top of the line components and a limited lifetime warranty to back it all up. With the benefits of a commercial frame, but the option to take it down, who says you can't have it all...and then put it away when you're finished.

This frame accommodates all sizes of quilts up to a standard king size quilt. Continuous track is included for smooth, flawless movement. Built from sturdy 1/4 inch anodized aluminum, the overall frame is rigid enough to hold any large quilt. Leaders and poles come preassembled with our Velcro® leader system for fast quilt setup when loading. The base of the frame features a unique groove for holding the tracks in place so they are always positioned accurately.

This frame can easily attach to different lengths of tables with our simple clamping system. (A 30" wide table is recommended and should be constructed of wood, or a wood laminate for extra stability.Tables with lightweight plastic tops are not recommended.)

Included in the new Portable Professional frame is a 4th pole which provides additional structural strength to the whole frame. There is no longer a need to vertically adjust poles as the bulk of your quilt builds up under the throat of the machine. This will keep the quilt close to needle plate, while still allowing for minimum friction with a thick batting. With the 4th roller, no drag will ever be created on the bed of the machine.

Handi-Quilter Simply Sixteen

Simply-Sixteen was created as a basic, introductory quilting machine built with the precision and all the fine qualities and functions of other Handi-Quilter products. It is a non-stitch regulated quilting machine designed for beginning quilters and price conscious consumers. The Simply-Sixteen is the first quilting machine that can be fully upgraded with all the functions of an Handi-Quilter Sixteen (including stitch regulator) without purchasing a new machine.
