A Quilting Arts Club comes to Auburn.

Joining the established calendar of classes and events at Howell’s Sew and Vac is quilt artist and teacher Jane Haworth, The Quilting Arts Club meets on the first Thursday of every month. Some of the quilting activities will include printing photos on fabric, making a pet portrait, or painting a landscape quilt. Join Jane on February 2nd for Making Purses and Totes using Recycled Materials, or on March 1st for Raw Edge Appliqué Reptile Quilts. Call 885-9624 to sign up today.

Originally from England, Auburn resident, Jane Haworth brings with her years of sewing experience, from working for the Laura Ashley Co. to interior design work and soft furnishings manufacture. Living in the United States gave her exposure to the world of quilting and the opportunity to learn something new. Jane’s quilts have been selected for juried quilt shows throughout the U.S. and her work has been featured in national magazines Quilters Newsletter and more recently Quilting Arts.
